About us

​SHESHI (SHEH-shi) is the exciting brainchild of Wangechi, started in 2021!
​
After moving from Sheffield to Leeds in 2020 and facing the challenges of lockdown just a month later, she found it challenging to locate someone who could style her 4c natural hair.
Where was the platform designed specifically for us, by us and with us in mind?

A platform that would connect her to a talented stylist that had been trusted by her people but found it hard to locate?
A trustworthy space that nobody was gatekeeping and transparency reigned?
A place where everything was conveniently in one place?
A vibrant community to celebrate amazing stylists deserve recognition for their talent and their customer service, even if they don’t have a massive following?
That’s how SHESHI was born!
